This is me...sleeping under the bench on the train. Yes, disgusting. But while in China, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. We had a 16 hour train ride and all the sleeper tickets were sold out...and it was at night. It's nearly impossible to sleep sitting up..so this is what resulted!
